Przeczytałem różne wątki o Seo URL-ach na tym forum, ale nie znajduję odpowiedzi na pytanie dlaczego u mnie nie chcą działać

Przesiadam się właśnie z Oscommerce na OpenCart i uruchamiam sklep do testów (Opencart). Jest zainstalowany na http://mojekonto.jakishosting.pl w podfolderze opencart. Na razie nie mam podpiętej żadnej domeny więc mogę się odwoływać tylko tak: http://mojekonto.jakishosting.pl/opencart.
Uruchamiam seo-urls w sklepie. Jak jestem na stronie głównej sklepu i wskazuję jakiś produkt to na dole w pasku przeglądarki widzę adres jaki się pod nim kryje i jest to na przykład mojekonto.jakishosting.pl/opencart/ajfon. Niby wszystko dobrze bo to iPhone, któremu przypisałem nazwę ajfon.
Wydaje mi się więc, że seo-urle działają w sklepie prawidłowo.

Przy kliknięciu na taki link wyskakuje błąd 404.

Kłopot jest z .htaccess tutaj się pogubiłem
Czy ten plik ma być umieszczony w folderze głównym czy też w folderze opencart ? No i czy ma być w nim napisane:

RewriteBase /opencart/
czy też
RewriteBase /

Jaki może być błąd u mnie?

ma być w opencart i htacess powinien mieć wpis RewriteBase /opencart/

Do rozwiązania doszedłem przypadkiem. Otóż zmiany, które wykonywałem nie działały natychmiast. Tzn. po wgraniu .htaccess na serwer i natychmiastowych próbach odświeżenia strony były błędy serwera lub brak strony. Za którymś razem spróbowałem po jakimś czasie (może to była minuta) i wtedy wszystko zadziałało.

Ja mam taki problem jak zmienić w linkach /Pokrowiec%20%22Simply%22? te znak % na np - ponieważ nie wygląda to za dobrze. Oczywiście przyjazne url mam uruchomione a w pliku widnieje takie coś:

W polu SEO nie powinno być spacji ani polskich znaków (spacje są zamieniane na %) - zmień koniecznie
